Description

DANHOSTEL Copenhagen City is Europe's latest and largest designer youth hostel. Gubi, a Danish firm, is responsible its interior design.

The 15-story high building commands panoramic views out over Copenhagen's rooftops. The five-star DANHOSTEL Copenhagen City is located in the center of Copenhagen, only a stone's throw from Town Hall Square, Tivoli and Copenhagen's buzzing night life.

Breakfast

The Hostel offers breakfast every morning. You order and pay the breakfast at arrival and receive a number of coupons for this. Breakfast price are: 50,- DKK per day (equiv approx: EUR 7,- or USD 9,- per day).

Conference facilities

We have organized a EuroBSDCon lounge in the basement of the Hostel that we have been promised to be open (accessible) full 24 hours a day. The lounge will have free wireless and wired Internet with good Internet connection and power. We expect that the EuroBSDCon lunge will be the meeting place for conference participants during the conference week. We are allowed to bring our own beverages at the lounge but has promised to clean up bottles etc. before leaving (for bed or conference) every day. We will arrange for coffee and tea in the lounge during evenings. There are limited supplies of beverages available from the vending machines at the lobby.

Booking procedure

The price for a bed is 165,- DKK per bed per night (equiv to 22,- EUR or approx USD 30,- per bed per night).

The Hostel is basically shared rooms with sizes of 4, 6, 8 and 10 beds. All rooms have new bathrooms with shower and lockable cupboards, bring your own padlock. Key-card for the lift and access to the room are provided to named guests.

You pay for the number of beds you reserve. If you want a single private room, the price is 4 beds, i.e. to rent a full 4 beds room you pay the price of 4 beds. This allows the conference to provide both cheap housing and affordable single or shared rooms to our participants.

You book rooms through the conference web page (when booking starts). If several participants want to share a room, one of them must book the entire room.

If you book a exact number of 4, 6, 8 or 10 beds, you will have the room for yourself (or your own self organized group of people), and you should solve the payment between your group members yourself. For practical purposes we would like to know the names of the people you you share the room with (you will be able to note this on the registration page), since otherwise we can only hand out keys to the named person who book the room - and the rest of the group will have to wait until this person arrives in Copenhagen.

If you want to go the cheap way of housing: book the number of beds you would like to have in the same room (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 or 9 beds) and we will fill other persons who book a bed in a shared room into your room to fill up all beds.

If the booking periods varies (e.g. some of the group who shares a room takes tutorials or leaves earlier than other, some of the group might need to move rooms).

Please provide as precise information to us as possible (names of persons who will share a room as a group arrival and departure dates etc.) so we can plan for minimal relocation of persons.

Please note that our reservation with the hostel ends at the 3rd of august, at which time we have to commit to the rooms we need.
Thus after this date we will only offer shared rooms, and only until our supply runs out.
We will of course try to make every effort to secure lodging to all who wants it, but we cannot make any guarentees after 3rd of august.
